Mechanochemical Synthesis of Fe2O3 Nanoparticles
During the mechanical milling, the solidstate displacement reaction of 3Na 2 CO 3 + 2FeCl 3. 6H 2 O = 6NaCl + Fe 2 O 2 O + 3CO 2 was induced to form iron oxide nanoparticles. A simple washing process was done to remove NaCl byproduct and subsequently the particles dried at 105#176;C for 12 h.
